Do I need a license to be a coach on Accordial?
No. Coaches don't require a state license; that's what makes coaching coaching. We do verify your training: certifications, hours of experience, and a couple of references. We're looking for people who already know what they're doing.
How do couples actually book me?
They download the Accordial mobile app and register. The app starts by helping them vent privately, building an AI picture of what they need. They then search the coach directory, find your profile by name, pick a slot from your calendar, and pay your rate through Apple Pay. You see the booking on your dashboard and the brief lands 24 hours before.
Do I need to drive my own audience?
Yes. Accordial is built for coaches who already have one: a newsletter, a podcast, a workshop list, an Instagram following, a referral pipeline. You tell them where to find you ("I'm taking sessions on Accordial; search my name in the app"), they download, they book.
Who pays me, and when?
Couples pay your full rate through Apple Pay at the time of booking. We never see card details. Every Friday we deposit your 75% directly into your bank account for the previous week. No invoicing, no chasing, no 30-day net.
Is this a 1099 contractor relationship?
You're an independent provider. We are a marketplace, not your employer. Set your rate, choose your hours, work with whichever couples you accept. No exclusivity. You can leave any time.
How does the AI brief work for coaching?
For 24 hours before each session, we summarise what the couple has been venting and appreciating in the app: recurring themes, each partner's framing of the same fights, a heat index. The model never sees identifying info; you never see raw transcripts. The brief is a working document, not a clinical record.
What if a session is over my head clinically?
You hit "escalate" in the dashboard. Our clinical director reviews within an hour and either coaches you through it or moves the couple to a licensed therapist. Coaches stay in coaching scope. We make that easy, not awkward.
Can I leave?
Any time. Deactivate your profile and you're out. No exclusivity clause, no clawback, no notice period.
Can I earn by referring couples?
Yes. Every coach gets a referral code. When a couple you refer subscribes to a paid plan, you earn 15% of their subscription every billing period for up to 12 months, and they get a free month too. This is on top of what you earn from sessions.
When can I withdraw referral earnings?
Earnings mature after a 90-day hold that covers the app store refund window. After that, request a payout of your available balance from your portal. Once an amount has matured it is yours, and a later cancellation does not claw it back.
What do I see about the people I refer?
First names only, alongside subscription status and your earnings. Never full identities. If a referred member cancels, you get a notification and a record in your portal, and future commissions stop.
